佐久市岩村田(いわむらだ)にある鼻顔(はなづら)稲荷神社は、室町時代末期に京都の伏見稲荷から勧請されて創建されました。湯川の断崖絶壁に朱塗りの柱で支えられた空中楼閣の社殿は、京都の清水寺と同じ懸崖造りです。

鼻顔稲荷神社では、初午祭(はつうまさい・二月最初の午の日)にダルマや縁起物を売る店や色々な露店が参道に並び、年の福や商売繁盛を願う多くの参拝客で賑わいます。

初午祭は、祝日だと多く人が参拝し易くなるので、２月１１日(建国記念の日)に開かれています。
